Our story

Named in the air.

Every sauce has a story. Ours starts in an aeroplane cabin, detours through Harrods, and ends in a very small bottle with a very big mouth.

01

Fifteen years at 35,000 feet

Where the name was earned.

“Super Rat” started as a nickname on the crew — earned over fifteen years flying for Air New Zealand. Fast, sharp, cheeky, and the best service in the cabin. The name stuck long after the wheels touched down. The rat became the man.

02

The rat gets a rebrand

From the sewer to the shop window.

Rats get a bad rap — sewers, scavengers, the underdog nobody roots for. Then one day, in the window at Harrods: a luxury rat. Groomed, dignified, quietly magnificent. That was the moment. The rat stands for knowledge, honesty, and a deep respect for every culture and every table he's ever eaten at.

03

The tiny seed

A mini nuclear bomb, if you treat it right.

A chilli seed is barely bigger than a full stop — and fully grown, it can flatten the biggest, strongest human alive. That contradiction is the whole fascination. There are a thousand ways to handle a chilli, and only a handful that unlock its full essence. Every batch chases exactly that, with organic, natural ingredients and zero shortcuts.

The Rat Pack

Four sauces. One worldly rat.

Street Rat is the everyday hero. Island Bite brings the tropical fire. Back Alley works the shadows with roasted garlic. Clean Getaway is the bright, aromatic exit. Small bottles, big mouths — landing end of summer.
